Matej Sedláček, partner

  • Matej focuses his legal practice primarily on business and corporate law, disputes, insolvency law and IT law. He helps clients structure contractual relationships, negotiate commercial transactions and enforce their claims both out of court and before courts.

    He has experience with the complex enforcement of banking finance claims against energy and other companies, including the enforcement of security interests, court proceedings and transfers of target companies, as well as with legal advice in the restructuring of an industrial company with filed claims amounting to tens of millions of euros. He has also advised a foreign producer of secure documents as a bidder in public procurement procedures and in related review proceedings. He was involved in advising on the acquisition of the largest alternative postal operator in Slovakia, represented shareholders in the sale of stakes in renowned Slovak IT companies and provided legal services to a major investor in negotiations with a foreign partner in connection with a real estate development project in Bratislava.

    Previously, Matej worked at an international law firm, where he was involved in dispute resolution in investment arbitrations. He also gained experience at the legal department of a central state administration authority, where he dealt with administrative judiciary matters. He has occasionally lectured on topics related to intellectual property law and IT law.

Marián Šulík, partner

  • Marián specialises primarily in mergers and acquisitions and banking and finance. He advises clients on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including acquisitions, company sales, joint ventures and strategic investments.

    He has extensive experience in structuring transactions, managing due diligence processes, negotiating transaction documentation and representing clients at closing and during subsequent integration. A significant part of his practice involves real estate and development transactions, including acquisitions of real estate portfolios, development projects and their financing.

    In the area of financing, he has been involved in several major lending and refinancing transactions, including project and real estate financing. He represents both banks and borrowers in structuring and negotiating loan documentation and security arrangements.

    Over the course of his career, he has represented private investors, private equity funds, financial institutions and strategic players across various sectors, including real estate, healthcare, media, automotive and IT.

    Before joining Outcome Legal, Marián was a partner and led the M&A and Banking & Finance team at Škubla & Partners. He also gained experience at the international law firms CMS and Wolf Theiss in Bratislava and Vienna.

    His expertise has been consistently recognised by the international rankings Legal 500 and IFLR1000.

Peter Ikrényi, partner

  • Peter has extensive experience in energy law and regulation in network industries (gas, electricity and heat). His practice focuses primarily on price and substantive regulation across sectors, market functioning and acquisition projects, including the representation of clients in administrative and court proceedings.

    He has provided legal advice to operators of key energy infrastructure in Slovakia and to suppliers, including leading energy companies, on various matters of energy, regulatory and competition law.

    For many years, he worked within the structures of a leading European multi-utility company, providing legal advice on unbundling and regulation, access to networks and systems, energy acquisition projects and shareholder relations.

    Peter previously worked at the Energy Regulatory Office in the Czech Republic as a specialist for infrastructure projects and market organisation and was a member of several working groups of European energy institutions, including ACER, CEER and others.

    Peter currently serves on the board of a major energy group and of the Slovak Geothermal Association. He is the author or co-author of numerous expert articles and books, including commentaries on the Energy Act (C. H. Beck, 2020), the Act on Regulation in Network Industries (Wolters Kluwer, 2017) and the Freedom of Information Act (C. H. Beck, 2023).
